KEEPING THE KIDS HAPPY ON HOLIDAY

Making sure there are lots of things for the kids to do is always a headache for parents when planning their next holiday.

£30,000 PRIZE MONEY FOR DARTS FESTIVAL

Players from all over the country will be heading to Great Yarmouth’s 5 Star Vauxhall Holiday Park this March to take part in the International Family Darts Festival where £30,000 in prize money is up for grabs.

The event runs between: 11-15 March with nine different competitions. The highlight is the J.R & Vauxhall Holiday Park 128 Plus Classic. The winner will receive £1,500, runner up £750 and losing semi finalists £400. There will be added spice in the final as if either player gets a nine dart finish they will go away a further £2,500 better off!



Other competitions open to entrants are: Random Pairs; Men’s Pairs; Mixed Pairs; Mixed Triples; Ladies Pairs; Ladies Singles; Under 18s and a special ‘Random Dartaholics’ event.



Entertainment will be laid on each night. Prices for the darts weekend start at £35 per person – (price based on 4 sharing a Sandpiper 4.)

3,000 FOOTBALLERS HEAD FOR GREAT YARMOUTH THIS EASTER!

Great Yarmouth’s 5 star Vauxhall Holiday Park is set to play host to over 70 youth football teams from across the UK this Easter!


Some 3,000 players and family members will stay at the Park to take part in the Great Yarmouth Soccer Challenge, organised by R& T Tours.


The youngsters will play their football on the soccer grounds on nearby Mill Lane which has a number of pitches and excellent facilities.



The competition is divided into a mini-soccer format for the under 7s, 8s, 9s & 10s; while it’s traditional eleven-a-side for the under 11s, 12s, 13,s & 14s.


Before an after the games, players and parents alike will find plenty to do at Vauxhall Holiday Park which for 2010 has introduced laser skirmish and an adventure climbing wall, with entertainment laid on every night.

The Great Yarmouth Soccer Challenge runs between 6-10 April with prices starting at £73 per person. The event concludes with a special presentation evening which will be attended by former England football stars, which last year were Bryan Robson, Martin Keown and Ray Parlour.
