Our first Elvis Festival Week dedicated to the King of Rock n' Roll was an outstanding success.
The musical legacy of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Everley Brothers and British star Billy Fury, was recreated by top tribute artists and original English stars.
The line up included:-
• Barry Steele as Roy Orbison
• The Flames
• Temple Bros do The Everley Brothers
• Marc Robinson as Buddy Holly
• John Leyton
• Mike Berry
• Miss Rock n Roll (Lisa Marie)
• Rob Dee as Billy Fury
• Good Rockin' Tonight
• Mike Sanchez & The Portions
• Mel Stevens and The Stollers
Also Dick Grob, who was Elvis Presley’s chief of security for more than 10 years before the singer’s death in 1977, was on hand to talk about his memories of the King.
